Happy Birthday America!

For Aiden's first Fourth of July celebration we all headed down to the old 'hood for a day of festivities! Huntington Beach is known for it's outrageous celebrations...so we couldn't wait to introduce Aiden to it. The entire town shuts down almost except for bike traffic. It isn't uncommon to see bike gangs of several dozen people riding down the middle of busy streets. We were able to borrow a bike trailer for Aiden so he could join in! He seemed to enjoy riding around with all of the activity going on. He did very well during the fireworks and didn't cry at all. In fact, he didn't seem too interested in them. The grand finale caught his attention, but other than that he just watched quietly. It was a great day and we were happy to spend it with friends!

The last video is of a fireworks show during a Death Cab for Cutie concert I attended. It was at the Hollywood Bowl, which is a really neat outdoor concert hall set in the Hollywood Hills. I just thought it would be fun to post fireworks for those already missing the Fourth!
