Pool Boy

It has been powerful hot here in NC...averaging in the 80's almost every day. It was finally time to get Aiden a kiddie pool for the backyard. At first he was hesitant to get into it, but after it warmed a little in the sun it was almost impossible to get him out of it! He prefered to not have any bottoms on though...

Birdies

Happy belated Mother's Day to our front porch birds! After much anticipation (by me!) some of the eggs have hatched. They are used to me watering and pruning the flowers, so Aiden and I are able to get a close view of them daily. This is a great experience for us!

Park Fun

Aiden and I have found a fantastic little park about 10 minutes from our house. We play there several times per week, and Aiden just loves running around after the "big boys". He is starting to really enjoy playing in the sandbox, as well. The park has a grassy area perfect for picnics. Surrounding the grassy area are wild onions, which Aiden LOVES to pick, smell, and eat. He calls them "nonions".

Mother's Day

We spent our first Mother's Day in North Carolina celebrating with all of our moms! This is the first time they have all been together since our wedding! This is what it is all about...spending quality time with the ones we love. My mom prepared a great BBQ and everyone had a nice time.

The Yardwork Never Ends!

The yardwork is endless! They should tell you that before you buy a house. Gramma Cindi has been here and she has helped tremendously by mulching the ENTIRE garden surrounding the house. It looks amazing and I will try to get some photos up soon. In addition, Matthew has been edging the garden with some 100-year old brick and making some walking paths through the garden. Whew...what have I been doing? Weeding and gardening, which is essentially a full-time job.

Weeding as usual!
